During this week we highlight and recognise the history, achievements, and culture of Australia\u2019s First Nations people.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span spantype=\"color\" >Last year the theme was \u201cGet Up! Stand Up! Show Up!\u201d and called for direct action in uplifting and fighting for change in the experiences of Indigenous Australians.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span spantype=\"color\" >This year\u2019s theme is \u201cFor Our Elders\u201d. It recognises the efforts of, and pays respects to, the First Nations Elders who have carried on tradition, paved pathways, and helped fight for equality throughout their lifetimes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span spantype=\"color\" >To learn more about NAIDOC week you can visit: <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.naidoc.org.au\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.naidoc.org.au\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p><span spantype=\"color\" >This art was designed by Bobbi Lockyer, a proud Ngarluma, Kariyarra, Nyulnyul and Yawuru artist, born and based on Kariyarra Country in Port Hedland.
