  • Work with various government and statutory authorities in prosecutions, enforcement, disciplinary and administrative review proceedings particularly in the health area.

Our large commercial law firm client has a envied positive and friendly culture and a collegiate atmosphere.

They seek a lawyer with solid drafting skills and litigation experience in disciplinary proceedings and/or prosecutions. Experience in health litigation and managing litigation files with minimal supervision is highly sought.

Your role will be to represent government clients in court and tribunals in prosecutions, enforcement hearings, disciplinary hearings and reviews of administrative decisions (merits and judicial review) and advise on investigations and exercising enforcement powers and functions, including infringements, notices and orders and prosecutions. You will also advise on statutory interpretation, good decision-making and natural justice requirements, while drafting enforcement manuals and decision making policies. You will be involved in court and tribunal work; representing government bodies in litigation matters and drafting written advice and recommendations.
You will mentor more junior solicitors and be involved BD and marketing.
