The Firm & The Role

Our client is a mid-tier law firm that has flourished over the last 5 years. They have a strong banking & finance team headed by a senior partner. The team acts for banks, finance companies, investors (individual and corporate), financial services companies, fund managers, property developers, clients in the construction industry and SMEs.

This teams partners and collaborates with their clients and due to a strong pipeline of work is looking to recruit a banking & finance lawyer at the 1 to 4 year pae level.

This role will see you working on a range of banking & finance transactions eg corporate finance, debt finance, mezzanine funding, acquisition finance, project finance, real estate & construction finance. The team also advises clients in relation to compliance and regulatory issues.

As a banking & finance lawyer in this team, you will play an important and pivotal role in transactions and you will work closely with clients to meet their commercial needs.

The experience you will gain here will be second to none. You will enjoy working with high caliber peers and eventual secondment opportunities will also be on offer.

Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 1 to 4 years pae in the area of banking & finance from a well respected banking & finance team or in-house environment
  • Excellent legal technical skills
  • Drafting and advisory skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence and self-awareness
  • Highly developed organisational skills
  • Team focused but also be able to work independently
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong work ethis
  • Ambition, drive and enthusiasm
