The Firm & The Role

My client is a well known national law firm with a growing corporate/private equity team, clients are mainly domestic but high profile ASX-listed companies. This new opportunity which ahs come about due to growth will see you working closely with a well-respected private equity partner who has a growing pipeline of work.

You will work with clients across a variety of industries such as aviation, mining, financial services, construction, FMG, retail.

The work will focus of private equity deals but you will also work on join ventures, share-holder agreements, corporate restructurings, capital raisings.

As well as working closely with the partner and their clients, you will have high levels of client responsibility, lead transactions on your own, foster strong client relationships, mentor and supervise more junior lawyers in the team.

This firm and team promotes only on merit and if you are ambitious, want to build your client base, the road to partnership is genuine, especially as this team is not top heavy and very lean.

Skills & Experience

  • At least 4 years pae in the area of corporate M&A, experience in private equity would be advantageous
  • Drafting and advisory skills
  • Ability to think outside the box
  • Client management and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a high performing team
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Energy & drive
