New opportunity for a Family Law Solicitor to join a publicly funded community legal service with a dedicated, close knit team.

Our client is a NFP community legal service who specialises in Family, Domestic Violence, Child Protection and Victims of Crime Compensation law in Regional Queensland. They are currently seeking a solicitor to join their close knit, dedicated team of 4 in a Managing Solicitor role. The firm is located in Toowoomba, however there is travel involved throughout Southern Queensland.
You will travel always with a Client Support Officer who is familiar with the regional communities and their cultural customs.
As the Managing Solicitor, you will be responsible for coordinating the development and implementation of casework, intake, community legal education (CLE) and law reform work. You will work closely with the Client Support Officer to ensure provision of culturally appropriate services to clients.
To be successful in this position, you will be a qualified solicitor with previous experience practicing in family law. Experience with child protection would be an advantage. In addition, you will have strong communication and time management skills, as well as be passionate and display a high level of commitment.
Travelling to remote communities, you will require an Open Driver's license.
