The Firm & The Role
Our client is a commercial law firm with a well known family law team. Due to growth and a strong pipeline of work, the team is looking to recruit a family lawyer with at least 2 years post admission experience.
This role will see you working as part of team but also running some of your own matters. You will have client facing responsibilities, brief counsel, take part in mediations, go to court.
You will be able to successfully represent clients in all areas of family law including parenting, property, de facto and same sex relationships, spouse maintenance and child support applications.
This team has expertise in complex property cases, international family law matters as well as applications for enforcement of orders.
This would suit the family lawyer who wants partner access and more opportunities for growth and development.
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will:
Be a lawyer with at least 2 years post admission experience in the area of family law
Have strong writing, advisory and litigation skills
Ability to develop strong relationships with clients
Have strong technical, negotiating and counseling skills
Have the ability to work under pressure
Have the ability to work in a collaborative team environment
Have the ability to work autonomously
Have the ability to think outside the square
Have energy, drive, enthusiasm and a genuine passion for family law
