The Role

As a HR Advisor, you will report to the HR Manager. Duties include

  • Drive the day-to-day delivery of advice and support on all people matters and formal HR activities
  • Proactively advise internal clients and stakeholders on all P&C matters, providing regular on the job coaching, advice and support
  • Partner with leaders to undertake employment relations processes, in conjunction with external advice, considering and adapting strategies to each individual scenario in order to provide accurate and timely advice and recommendations to mitigate risks
  • Lead the end-to-end recruitment process for internal client groups, in partnership with Directors
  • Maintain and utilise relevant reports, data and information to identify trends when recommending and implementing solutions to people challenges and improvements
  • Facilitate all key activities across the employee lifecycle and annual performance cycle
  • Scope, develop and facilitate graduate, employee and team-based training and workshops
  • Support the delivery of the firm's employee engagement survey and business unit engagement action planning
  • Facilitate the firm's payroll and respond to payroll enquiries
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and quality of P&C and business processes as they relate to people activities and engagement
  • Anticipate the needs of the business and plan, develop and implement purposeful change within the P&C function to meet these needs
  • Collaborate with colleagues and internal stakeholders to develop and implement new and existing P&C initiatives and projects.
  • Partner with leaders to develop and implement their people plans in a practical, efficient and sustainable way enabling them to deliver on their strategy and objectives
  • Apply strong business acumen and change management to influence stakeholders
  • Building organisational capability through coaching and developing leaders in driving employee engagement and a high performing culture
  • Partner with the Finance team to develop monthly staff financial performance reports for discussion with business units to support and coach on performance improvement
  • Responds to queries and requests via appropriate channels in an appropriate timeframe
  • Influence and partner with leaders to develop culture, capability and a highly engaged and effective workforce
  • Proactively focus on building the employer brand as one that offers extraordinary client service, both internally and externally.


You will have a minimum of 2 years HR Advisor experience within a professional services large company. It is also preferred that you will also have qualifications (a Bachelor of Business (HRM) or Psychology).

Well established Chartered Accountancy firm of 160 staff in their Brisbane office. Have won many awards such as Best Accounting Firm, Client Choice Awards, Best Queensland Firm, Outstanding Client Care. Corporate, Riverfront offices. Salary is negotiable dependent upon experience (between $110-120,000 package including super).
