The Company
Our client is a well-respected member based construction organisation. Located in CBD fringes, this is a supportive and collegiate team that works in a fast-paced environment.

The Role

Working with this industry body with a strong heritage your role will be to support members with Legal Advice to operate professional and profitable businesses that deliver great outcomes for the customers. They operate Qld wide with regional offices and have a large member base therefore the role can be very diverse.

You will work alongside a team of lawyers and report directly to the principal in this newly created role. If you are a construction lawyer looking for better hours and the move away from time sheeting this could be a great opportunity to expand yourself and not feel you are working in a grinding and inflexible role.

The work is domestic and commercial in nature and is predominately advice based but will touch on back end as well.

Your day will consist of Reviewing contracts providing advice on risk, payment disputes, terminations of contracts, whilst developing members knowledge. There is also scope to run presentations and workshops for members as the legislative changes continue in Qld.

About You

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years' PAE in construction or commercial property law gained at a well-respected law firm. Ideally, you will have solid experience running front-end construction matters. My client will also consider candidates with general commercial experience who have a real passion for the construction space. Experience with contracts would be beneficial.

You will have a commercial approach and the energy and desire to continue to develop a practice and help the firm to continue its growth path and achieve its goals.

The ability to develop strong client relationships is also essential.

  • Attractive remuneration package
  • Car park
  • Bonus scheme
  • Flexible hours
