The Firm & The Role
Our client is a well established commercial law firm and they are leaders in the insurance space. Due to new clients and new instructions, our client is looking to recruit a talented and enthusiastic insurance lawyer at the 3 year to Senior Associate level.
Clients include insurers, brokers, ASX-listed companies, self-insureds, construction companies, life insurance companies, contractors, sub-contractors, principals and clients in the travel and tourism industried.
You will have the opportunity to work on a broad mix of work:
- public liability
- personal injury matters
- occupiers' liability
- product liability matters
- general liability matters
- complex property damage claims
- business interruption claims
- professional indemnity matters
As an experienced lawyer you will have carriage of matters, attend court, brief counsel, manage client relationships, foster strong client relationships.
As well as litigation, you will be providing advice in relation to the interpretation of policies and indemnities.

Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 3 years pae experience in the area of insurance litigation
- Attention to detail
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Drafting and advising skills
- Strong litigation and strategy skills
- Ability to foster strong client relationships
- Ability to work in a committed team
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Drive, enthusiasm and a 'can do' attitude
