The Firm & The Role

Our client is a well-established national firm, with a heavy emphasis on insurance law. Due to growth via new clients and new instructions, our client is looking to recruit a talented and enthusiastic insurance lawyer at the min 3 years pae to Senior Associate or even SC level.

Clients include insurers, brokers, ASX-listed companies, self-insureds, construction companies, life insurance companies, contractors, sub-contractors, principals and clients in the travel and tourism industries.

You will have the opportunity to work on a broad mix of work, including:

  • Public Liability
  • Personal Injury Matters
  • General Liability Matters
  • Motor vehicle/property damage

As an experienced lawyer you will have carriage of matters, attend court, brief counsel, manage client relationships, foster strong client relationships.

The firm is open to offering an "up and coming" lawyer a promotion to Associate, OR an emerging Associate seeking SA'ship, the opportunity to step into that title. Everything is on the table, making this an unmissable opportunity for a savvy insurance lawyer.

As well as litigation, you may also provide advice in relation to the interpretation of policies and indemnities.

Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 2 years pae experience in the area of insurance litigation, up to senior SA/SC
  • Attention to detail
  • Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Drafting and advising skills
  • Strong litigation and strategy skills
  • Ability to foster strong client relationships
  • Ability to work in a committed team
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Drive, enthusiasm and a 'can do' attitude
