The Firm

Our client is a national commercial law firm with a great reputation centrally located in the heart of the Melbourne CBD. They are well-known for providing clients with advice across many areas of law whilst maintaining a friendly and supportive working environment.

The Role

Within one of the leading national property practices in Australia, our client is looking for an experienced Leasing Paralegal to join their growing and busy Melbourne team. This role will focus on retail leasing and will see you working with a client list including a number of Australia's largest and high-profile landlords working alongside other paralegals and lawyers running leasing matters from start to completion.

You can expect your day-to-day duties to include the following:

  • Have day-to-day management of matters inclusive of drafting lease documents, disclosure statements, special conditions and associated transactional documents for retail shopping centres and commercial office buildings
  • Negotiating amendments with tenants
  • Providing advice to your clients about issues that arise
  • Attending to stamping and registration of documents
  • Updating client databases
  • General administration duties


To be successful in this role you will have:

  • At least 4+ years' experience as a Leasing Paralegal with the confidence and ability to prepare, negotiate and management client's leases
  • An adaptable and flexible nature that enjoys variety
  • A self-motivated and proactive 'can do' attitude
  • High level of attention to detail
