Legal Assistant/Personal Assistant

This well-established boutique commercial law firm have a fantastic reputation with senior lawyers and accredited specialists in their field. With a close-knit team and a cosy office conveniently located in Melbourne's CBD, the firms pride themselves on creating a positive and supportive work environment. The key practice areas include commercial, property, commercial litigation, wills and estate and mortgage lending.


As a Legal Assistant/PA, you will provide high level support to a partner and ensure the smooth running of the practice.

Your responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Managing diaries and schedules including meetings and travel arrangements
  • Screening and answering calls and taking messages
  • Dictaphone typing
  • Organising correspondence and creating and amending typed documents
  • Liaising with clients and external parties
  • Managing files including opening and closing
  • Monthly client reporting, billing and expense management


To be successful in this role, you will ideally have previous legal administration experience working in a law firm in addition to:

  • Proven experience supporting a partner or senior lawyers in a property or commercial practice
  • Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, IT systems and a fast-typing speed
  • Experience with billing processes and billing software
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to liaise with clients and stakeholders at all levels
  • High organisational skills to manage competing tasks and deadlines
