THE FIRM

A well-established and highly regarded medium size law firm located in Brisbane's CBD is currently seeking an experienced HR Manager on a part time basis to join their award-winning firm.

THE ROLE

As HR Manager, your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the end-to-end recruitment function, including taking job briefs, writing and posting job advertisements, liaising with agencies, reviewing applications, phone screening, presenting shortlists, conducting interviews, reference checking and on boarding of new staff.
  • Managing staff performance.
  • Build strong relationships with staff at all levels within the firm.
  • Develop, manage and deliver continual improvement of HR systems, policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all activities undertaken by the firm comply with relevant Acts, awards, legal requirements and ethical standards.


ABOUT YOU

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • At least 5 years practical experience at the HR Manager level in a corporate environment.
  • Experience gained in a law firm would be ideal, alternatively those with experience within a professional services firm are encouraged to apply.
  • Solid generalist HR experience covering a wide range of HR issues, from both an operational and strategic perspective.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels and a strong client service focus.
  • Strong 'hands on' HR style with the ability to motivate and influence others.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to work in a team and have a high levels of discretion, integrity and commitment to the firm standards.
  • Initiative and a proactive approach to responsibilities.
