A well-established boutique commercial law firm located in the inner south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne. This firm is recognised as an employer of choice who are seen as a centre of excellence with their expertise in managing complex matters in the areas variety of areas including banking & finance, commercial, commercial litigation, family, employment and industrial relations and property to name a few.


As a legal assistant, you will provide a high level of support to a partner and their team in the Employment , Workplace and Industrial Relations practice group. Some of your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Diary, phone and email management
  • Drafting correspondence and prepare legal documents
  • Assisting with court preparation including court filing and briefs to Counsel
  • Liaising with clients and external stakeholders
  • Managing client files
  • Monthly billing

To be considered for this role, you must have proven experience working in a similar role in a law firm, in addition to:

  • Solid secretarial experience supporting lawyers in an employment/industrial relations or litigation practice
  • Strong technical skills including MS Office Suite, typing and formatting skills
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels
  • Exceptional organisational skills to manage conflicting deadlines
