This well-established boutique commercial law firm have a fantastic reputation with senior lawyers and accredited specialists in their field. With a close-knit team and a cosy office conveniently located in Melbourne's CBD, the firms pride themselves on creating a positive and supportive work environment. The key practice areas include commercial, property, commercial litigation, wills and estate and mortgage lending.

THE ROLE

As a legal secretary, you will provide high level support to the partner and have exposure to all aspects of commercial, industrial and residential property including acquisitions, developments and leasing.

Your responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Dairy and email management
  • Screening and answering calls and taking messages
  • Dictaphone typing
  • Organising correspondence and creating and amending typed documents
  • Liaising with clients and external parties
  • Managing files including opening and closing
  • Monthly client reporting, billing and expense management

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Proven secretarial experience supporting a partner or senior lawyers in a property or commercial practice
  • Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, IT systems and a fast-typing speed
  • Experience with billing processes and billing software
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to liaise with clients and stakeholders at all levels
  • High organisational skills to manage competing tasks and deadlines
