The Firm
This successful National mid-tier firm are expanding the Insurance Litigation Department of their Sydney office. With over 500 staff across Australia, this firm is always on the lookout for talented support staff and the insurance group is their largest team. The Role
My client is in need of an experienced Legal Secretary. You will primarily be providing support to one partner, as well as a senior associate and one other lawyer within the general insurance team. This is a great role in a supportive team with all team members helping each other out and working collaboratively. For the right candidate, they will be assisted in taking that step up into a team coordinator position and gradually presented with greater responsibilities and opportunities.
Duties will include:

  • Prepare and edit documents and correspondence
  • Dictaphone typing
  • Diary management
  • Client liaison
  • File management
  • Coordinating meetings and travel arrangements
  • Preparing Briefs and court documents
  • Preparing monthly client reports
  • Time recording and monthly billing


The Right Candidate
To be considered for this role you must have at least 2-4 years legal secretarial experience. You will be familiar with court documents and procedures and confident in client liaison. You will also have advanced MS skills, have great attention to detail and the ability to use your initiative. You must also be a team-player and have strong communication skills.
