The Firm & Role

Our client is a long established mid-tier law firm and they have an excellent reputation in the market. This firm has a stellar client base and acts for clients in industries such as financial services, manufacturing, insolvency, IT, media, education, property, construction as well as government clients.

Due to growth, they are looking for a commercial litigation lawyer around the 2 to 5 year pae level in the area of disputes.

A flavour of the work will include:

  • contractual disputes
  • property disputes
  • insolvency related disputes and debt recovery
  • professional negligence claims
  • share-holder disputes
  • consumer disputes
  • trade practices claims and passing off claims
  • corporate litigation

This role will see you working very closely with the partner. You will have client contact, go to court, brief Counsel and generally have carriage of matters

Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • around 2 to 5 years pqe in the area of litigation
  • litigation and advisory skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • Ability to think outside the square
  • Ability to work in a committed and high performing team
  • Ability to deal with clients autonomously
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Energy, drive and enthusiasm
