The Firm & The Role
Our client is a top tier commercial law firm and they have a high profile public law tea. Due to growth and new instructions, our client is looking to appoint a litigation solicitor to their team with at least 3 years pae.
This role will see you acting for a broad range of government clients, both at the state and federal level. You will be involved in complex contractual disputes, regulatory enforcement, judicial reviews, hearings before tribunals, merits reviews, FOI matters, insurance/tortious matters as well as some general commercial litigation.
You will be given matter and client responsibility and you will enjoy running your matters from start to finish. You will also be assisting the partner and more senior lawyers on larger, complex matters. This is an excellent role for the experienced litigation lawyer who enjoys going to court and enjoys developing their advocacy skills.
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 3 years pae experience in litigation, advantageous would be experience acting for govt. agencies as well as experience in administrative law
- Excellent litigation, advisory and drafting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Client management and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Energy, drive and a stellar attitude
