Office Assistant - 12 month fixed term

A leading specialist personal injury firm with offices across Victoria has a strong reputation in the market and is recognised as leaders in their field. Due to continued growth, the firm is looking for talented office assistant in their Oakleigh office. This will be a 12 month fixed term position.

As an office assistant, you will provide secretarial support to a team of senior lawyers on a permanent full-time basis for 12 months.

Your main duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Diary management and arranging meetings
  • Preparing correspondence and drafting documents
  • Assisting with court preparation including court filing and compiling briefs
  • Liaising with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Managing client files including opening/closing matters and e-filling
  • Monthly billing

To be considered for this role, you will ideally have the following:

  • Proven experience as a legal administrator working in a personal injury firm or insurance litigation practice
  • Experience working in TAC, Workcover or public liability is highly regarded
  • Demonstrated experience with billing procedures and systems
  • Strong computer and IT skills including Microsoft Office Suite and legal software
  • Effective interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and deal sensitively with clients
