Due to growth in Australia, they are looking for a Risk and Compliance Advisor to join their Melbourne team. Their people are the most important contributor to their continued success. The key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the core operations function for risk and compliance activities and assisting with operational delivery
- Contribute to the delivery of a robust and efficient platform to support the continued growth of the Australian practice and enhance operational effectiveness
- Maintenance and oversight of various compliance registers
- Maintain relevant corporate policies and procedures for the Australian practice in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
- Monitor and coordinate the review of corporate policies with other corporate functions
- Report and present in various forums in relation to risk & compliance matters including coordination of training calendar for key topics and delivery of various training
- Coordinate information / knowledge management activities and projects across the practice
- Assist with ad hoc projects to drive process improvements and enhance efficiencies
This role will provide the ability to operate across a range of activities within a national setting, with exposure to staff at all levels, within an established, proactive and collaborative Risk & Operations function.
To be successful you will have the following:
- Previous Risk & Compliance experience
- Degree qualified in Commerce, Accounting, Business or Law and/or risk and compliance certifications preferred
- Between 4 and 8 years of risk and compliance experience
- Knowledge of AFSL compliance environment and requirements an advantage
- Solid knowledge of risk and compliance best practices and frameworks
- Highly developed communication skills and ability to build relationships at all levels
