Our large QLD Government client is looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to work with the team on the physical and logical designs, transition planning, services migration, and decommissioning of the legacy infrastructure This role will also require you to assist in the production of as-built documentation, and handover to BAU support for ongoing management.

Responsibilities

  • Efficient analysis of current state networking implementations across sites
  • Modification of current state as-built design materials to reflect a desired 'to-be' state.
  • Development of bill of materials to guide a third-party vendor in building of network equipment for shipment to sites and subsequent installation.
  • Development of detailed implementation plans and test cases.
  • Active participation in on-site cutovers of network equipment replacing obsolete network equipment.
  • Development and test of new network-related deployment 'capabilities



Skills Required

  • Experienced in the configuration and deployment of Cisco Routers, and Juniper and Cisco Switches
  • Strong Network Design, Implementation and Support - Ideally 5 + years' experience
  • CCNA / JNCI or similar vendor certification
  • Demonstrated proficiency in some or all the following the switching and routing protocols - Cisco ACI, DMVPN, Quality of Service, Spanning Tree, EtherChannel (LACP) VRRP, HSRP
